You can find Roman the Roaming once an hour throughout the day, anywhere on their route. Some parts of the route will require tracing their exact steps to find them, some parts can be planned around connections and others will be sheer luck!

Roman the Roaming was a Side Quest in London's Transport Race. The Quest featured in the July 2021 edition of the Race and saw Roman the Roaming exploring London.

1003 Walk through Finsbury Park and down Parkland Walk
1027 W3 bus Ossian Road - Northumberland Park
1110 Greater Anglia Northumberland Park - Stratford
1128 DLR Stratford - Canary Wharf
1140 Canary Wharf wander (see below)
1305 RB4 boat Canary Wharf pier - Doubletree Docklands pier
1315 C10 bus Hilton Doubletree Docklands - Rotherhithe Station
Walk through the Rotherhithe Tunnel to Limehouse

Canary Wharf wander[edit | edit source]

  • Through eastern exit of DLR platforms to Waterstones
  • Down one level by escalator
  • Across the ticket concourse and through to Zara
  • Down one level by lift (by Ted's Grooming Room)
  • Walk down the corridor to Whittards
  • Wait at Whittards
  • Walk onwards to HSBC
  • Turn right and go through the western ticket hall to the other side
  • Continue on to Paul and go up one level by escalator
  • Wait at M&S
  • Walk away and down Heron Walk to Heron Quays
  • DLR Heron Quays - West India Quay
  • Walk to Crossrail Place
  • Descend in the lift down to as close to Crossrail as you can get
  • Wait
  • Go back up in the lift to the roof garden
  • Wait by the piano
  • Down the escalators two levels
  • Cross back to Canada Place
  • Turn left at Chop'd and walk to Churchill Place
  • Walk alongside Bellmouth Passage to the other exit
  • Walk back through to Canary Wharf east ticket hall
  • Head to the surface and walk west through Jubilee Park
  • Walk alongside the dock north side to Cubitt Steps
  • Walk down West India Avenue to Canary Wharf pier

Wander through the City[edit | edit source]

  • Walk down Dunster Court, Mincing Lane, Plantation Lane to Philpot Lane
  • Turn left and walk south down the hill, turn right to the Monument, then go down the Medway over Lower Thames Street
  • Walk along the riverside to the inclinator
  • Go up the inclinator to Queen Victoria Street, turn left
  • Walk onto White Lion Hill and down to Castle Baynard Street, along the street to Puddle Dock, then into Blackfriars
