Canary Waft
Canary Waft is a concept that exists within the boundaries of Millwall. A misspelling of Canary Wharf, Canary Waft has come to personify the slightly chaotic nature of the On Our Lines community. Its existence is lost in time, however, it is believed to have been established on 6 January 2026 within the DLR article on Bradshaw.[1]
The pronunciation of Canary Waft is at this time ambiguous, however it is thought that it is pronounced as either waft [/wɔft/] or waft [/wɑft/].
Famous residents of Canary Waft include Wario and Waluigi. They are often seen cutting about town in their souped up karts. Legend has it that the length of the Rainbow Road track is determined by the time it took Wario and Waluigi to race between Cathcart and Croftfoot, which are exactly 2km apart as the crow flies.
Canary Waft features in MarioKart and Doctor Who, where Rose defeats the Bad Wolf Corporation. Our Dear Leader, Jarley has a Bad Wolf tattoo, automatically making her the number one resident of Canary Waft.
Etymology
The etymology of Canary Waft is uncertain but is believed to reference the gusts (or "wafts") of wind that powered the seven mills that also gave their name to Millwall. Alternatively, speculation exists that it is a euphemism for the excretions of a canary (bird not islands) but expertsTemplate:Citation needed regard this as unlikely.
