Basingstoke is an interchange between Great Western Railway, South Western Railway and CrossCountry. Basingstoke is sometimes jokingly is called Azmingstoke.[1] Basingstoke was opened in 1839 by the London & South Western Railway.

Basingstoke & Wokingham Railway

Basingstoke could have had a direct link to Wokingham if the Basingstoke & Wokingham Railway was built in 1895.[2][3][4]
