Update

It's time to wash away the winter blues with our first full social of 2026 - the annual 'Winter Warmer'! Join the On Our Lines community with an exploration of south and east London by bus and train, before retreating to a nerdy games bar to warm up and chat about all our recent adventures! We'll be collecting some of our signature Stations of of the Month as we go, as well as sampling a wide variety of London's transport including some of the newest in the city.

You're welcome to join us at any stage along the route, or just head straight to the bar in the afternoon and enjoy a game - we're usually there 'till late!

If you are interested in joining us just sign up below.

We hope to see you there! ☀️

Attendees

If you are planning on attending, or attended, the event, you are encouraged to add your name here. Please also ensure you mark yourself as attending the event via the button at the top of the page.

Ticketing

We recommend attendees use Contactless, Oyster or a Travelcard. We will be travelling in zones 1 to 4, and we expect to reach that cap.

Escape Bar

We will be retiring in the afternoon to Escape Bar in Stratford, an LGBTQ-friendly, community pub which serves food and should be accessible to everyone joining us. There are a wide variety of board games that can be borrowed and video games that can be played, and we intend to take full advantage of this! You are, of course, more than welcome to leave us at your convenience - including if you wish to source your own food elsewhere - or join us throughout the evening. We'll keep our Discord updated with our movements but we are usually out until the early evening!

You may also wish to bring a transport-themed game with you for the outing, although you do so at your own risk.

Optional Side Quest

D-Train 230001 is seen at rest at West Ealing in April 2025, ahead of a special trial trip for members of the Branchline Society.

It has been announced that the VivaRail/GWR class 230 'D-Train' is entering service on the Greenford branch on Saturday, and should complete a full day's service for the first time. It is likely that some of our contingent may go to sample the train either first thing in the morning or after the evening social - if you would like to potentially join us for this, please let us know on Discord.

Dress Code

Whilst we do not have any formal dress code for On Our Lines social events, we will always encourage you to wear your railway merch or pride swag, in keeping with the ethos of our community! Of course, please ensure first and foremost that you dress for the prevalent weather conditions of the day, and do ensure that any garments do not display any offensive or distasteful slogans or graphics. Christmas jumpers are actively encouraged!
