Join us for a day exploring the suburban network of railways in South West London, Buffer Puffer style. Throughout the day, we'll be on the look out for some of the oldest trains on the network, the class 455s, their successors (class 450/458s), and the brand new class 701s. The day will feature lunch in Kingston (either the Christmas Market, or a nearby pub/restaurant), a trip through Hampton Court park, and as many branches as we can squeeze into the day. Merry ChriSWTmas!

Following the daytime social we will convene at a central London hostelry (tbc) for nerdy chat, transport-themed games and the Third Annual On Our Lines Community Awards!

Ticketing

We recommend attendees use Contactless, Oyster or a Travelcard with extension tickets and contactless bus fares where necessary - fares outside the Zone boundaries are shown in the table below. We anticipate Contactless users will cap at around £22.80; please note Oyster is not available to all destinations.

Dress Code

Whilst we do not have any formal dress code for On Our Lines social events, we will always encourage you to wear your railway merch or pride swag, in keeping with the ethos of our community! Of course, please ensure first and foremost that you dress for the prevalent weather conditions of the day, and do ensure that any garments do not display any offensive or distasteful slogans or graphics. Christmas jumpers are actively encouraged!

We will be holding the Third Annual On Our Lines Community Awards during the evening, recognising members for their contributions or memorable moments throughout the past year.
