Major works

This page gives a brief overview of current and planned future major works or other events (generally lasting at least a week or impacting more than half the weekends in a month) that significantly impact parts of the rail network. Where possible, stations in the affected areas will not be selected as station of the month during the works.

• 31th May 2025 - Spring 2026 - Cutty Sark DLR station closed (escalator replacement) [1]

• 7th February 2026 - 5th April 2026 - Dartford Junction closed so no services between Slade Green/Barnhurst/Crayford to Gravesend via Dartford [2]

Wales

• 30th of June 2025 - Spring 2026 - Ty Glas station closure as part of South Wales Metro [3]

Yorkshire and the Humber

• 30th August 2025 - 2027 - Deighton station closed (TRU works) [4]
• 13th December 2025 - 2028 -Ravensthorpe station closed (TRU works) [5]
