S Stock
The S Stock is a fleet of 7 and 8 car fourth Rail 62mph units used on the Subsurface Railway of the London Underground, which is Metropolitan Line, Hammersmith & City Line, District Line and Circle Line. The S Stock were built by Bombardier at there Derby Litchurch Lane Works, between 2009 and 2017.
S7 Stock
[edit | edit source]The S7 Stock is a fleet of S stock which are 7 cars long and are used on the Hammersmith & City Line, District Line and Circle Line. They replaced the C69 Stock and D78 Stock.
S7+1 Stock
[edit | edit source]The S7+1 Stock is a sub fleet of the S7 Stock which has been extended to work on the Metropolitan Line.
S8 Stock
[edit | edit source]The S8 Stock is a fleet of S Stock which are 8 cars long and used on the Metropolitan Line which replaced the A60 Stock.

[edit | edit source]The S Stock are a key part of the Four Lines Modernisation, which has seen the oldest trains on the network replaced by one standard fleet with a currently ongoing stage is to resignal the line to CBTC which will allow ATO from the Lights on Sticks.
